Freebies! Tor.com, “a site for news and discussion of science fiction, fantasy, and all the things that interest SF and fantasy readers” by Tor Books is now live.
Since the beginning of the year, Tor has been giving away, via email newsletters, DRM-free electronic versions of one of its titles plus a couple of cover art wallpapers every week. The only catch is that each issue is only available until the next one comes out. The titles include award winning works like John Scalzi’s Old Man’s War and Robert Charles Wilson’s Spin – two books I already own – and Jeffrey A. Carver’s Battlestar Galactica novelization.
I’ve been downloading them all until my previous notebook expired (God bless its electronic soul) along with everything in it, leaving me with... ARGHHH! Thankfully, now they are making all twenty-four titles plus wallpapers available for download for another week till July 27. Yeah, I’ve always thought they would. :P
So, though many of you may not be into science fiction, why not click here, download a title or two (or twenty four!) and give it a try. They’re free anyway.
